"If you move, I'll hit you": a middle school student beaten up in Lyon during a game based on the Squid Game series

A young student from the Jean-Perrin middle school, located in the ^9th arrondissement of Lyon, was violently attacked by five of his peers in the toilets of his establishment, on February 5. An attack whose inspiration could come from the " dangerous game taken from the series Squid Game , in which the participants play 1, 2, 3 sun, hence the name of the game: "if you move, I'll hit you"" , indicates the Lyon academy in a press release.

An educational assistant, present near the scene of the attack, was able to quickly intervene. "In order to protect the student victim, the establishment took immediate measures. The students presumed to be perpetrators were subject to a precautionary measure from the day of the attack until February 19, the date of the disciplinary council," the academy continued.

Following the council, two students, recognized as aggressors, were permanently excluded. Three other students, whose involvement has not been formally established, were suspended. "In order to prevent further attacks, all 6th ^grade classes in the establishment have been informed of the dangers of this game by the college staff," concludes the Lyon academy .

Interviewed by BFM Lyon , the young boy explained that he did not know if he would meet his attackers again in the corridors. "I don't know if they are angry with me and I don't know what they are going to do to me," he testified, his voice trembling. Examined by a doctor, he received six days of ITT. His family filed a complaint and an investigation was opened.
